  1. How to clean a Gas Stove

  2. The burner caps
  3. The burner heads

Simply detach the grates from the stovetop and the burner caps from the heads and wash them in a sink. You may use a sponge with soap and clean them to get rid of all the stains or greasiness.

  • Mix 1 part of vinegar, 2 parts baking Soda and a few drops of dish soap

There are two variants for an electric stove, metal coil burners and glass topped.

  1. The coils
  2. Drip pans
  3. The underside of the stovetop
  4. The surface

You may clean the coils and drip pans with a damp cloth. If they are rigid dirty, turn on the coils for a couple of minutes, this helps to burn off any residue. Once it gets cool, you may wipe it off. You can also remove the coils from the stove and the drip pans as well. Wash them with soapy water and dry them off.

If while turning on the cooktop you experience a burnt smell, you may have to consider cleaning the underside of the cook top. Just lift the front of the stove, use a damn cloth or a sponge to wipe it clean.

  • First clean the surface with a cloth and remove any food particles over it
  • Sprinkle baking soda on the cooktop
  • Spray carefully white vinegar all over
  • Dip a thick towel in a solution of soapy warm water and squeeze out the water
  • Spread the towel on the stove and set a timer on for 15 minutes
  • The cleaning will take care of itself
  • Once the timer goes off, clean the top with the same towel and then a fresh cloth
